Car Transport
CommuniCare arranges car transport for Senior Citizens to surgeries, clinics, hospitals and dentists etc.
We are unable to accept clients who wish to travel with their wheel chair. Folded wheel chairs are relatively heavy and difficult to lift into either the rear seats or into the boot of a car. Most of our volunteer drivers are of mature years and we will not put them at risk of causing them injury by lifting a folded wheel chair.
Volunteer car drivers collect clients from their home, take them to their appointment, wait, and then take them home again. A donation is paid to CommuniCare for this service, see
